PAUL
MCCARTNEY LOOK-ALIKE FOOLS EVEN THE PROS!
Media savvy AOL unable
to distinguish between rock star and part-time impersonator.
10/22/01
-- Fort Collins, CO -- When AOL ran a feature on "The
Concert for New York" on its local guide to New York
City, there was just one problem. The picture accompanying
the story, which was supposed to be concert organizer Paul
McCartney, was actually Mike Olie, an uncanny look-alike for
the former Beatles and Wings star. (TO SEE IMAGE, CLICK

For
Mike, who impersonates McCartney under the name of Sir Paul
of Livermore, this is not an uncommon occurrence. "I
get stopped all the time on the street by people seeking autographs
or asking 'Is it really you?'" Mike has also been part
of many public engagements, including appearances on Good
Morning America and at Bloomingdale's Grand Opening of their
"Beatle Shop" in New York.
Strangely enough, Mike's resemblance to the rock superstar
is only a recent phenomenon. Says Mike, "I didn't always
resemble my idol, Paul McCartney. Most of my adult life I
weighed 135 lbs and didn't look like Paul...I gained 40 pounds
and 'grew into' the part. Then, an alert group of musicians
pointed out the obvious (which was never obvious to me), that
I could be Paul's relation."
A resident of the Denver area, Mike is available for work
at "Meet and Greet" functions, trade shows, and
public speaking engagements. He is also part of a band called
the "The Magical Mystery Tourists."
For more information, please contact Mike Olie at 847-767-PAUL
(7285) or by email.
Pictures
of Mike are available in the photo section
of his website (www.PaulMcCartneyLookalike.com) and

The five waitresses

How could
it be that THE Paul McCartney, one of the icons of rock, would

He must be
there for an interview. Look, there’s the reporter with his
notepad. And look, there’s his picture on the table.
The whispers grew into soft conversation, the conversation
grew to giggles, and finally, they burst over to his table
and blurted out, “Are you Paul McCartney?” READ
